2016 Statewide Conference: May 5 & 6

Join the NC Literacy Association for the 2016 Statewide Conference May 5 & 6 in Greensboro, NC. This conference will have offerings for Executive Directors, ESL program officers/directors, Adult Basic Education program officers/directors, volunteer managers, and data managers. Sessions will be relevant for those new to the field, as well as those who are seasoned literacy professionals.

Presenters back by popular demand: Steve Schmidt (Appalachian State University Adult Basic Skills), Lily Contorer (Literacy Council of Buncombe County), Greg Stultz (New Reader’s Press), and representatives from the NC Community College System

New session topics this year: a session by the NC Association of Workforce Development Boards, LACES/NexGen two-part training,  Teaching Strategies Integrating Technology, Grant Writing, and so much more

Plus: A networking happy hour and a session dedicated to YOUR innovations in literacy education!

Fee: $75 for NCLA members, $150 for non-members
The fee includes nine educational sessions and lunch both days.
